Well, back in Rock Springs for more shots and research, mostly research. First priority is to find some photos of actual Japanese miners from Sweetwater County-- preferably Rock Springs. Spent most of day at library and history museum. People are very friendly and helpful. No pictures of Japanese miners found. Tomorrow will go through more photos at museum and Sweetwater museum. had lunch in the cutest old diner here in Rock Springs. Found great uncle Yamasaki on the Miner's monument in Rock Springs old park. He died in "Megeath Mine" which is 14 miles outside of Rock Springs. Got a shot of the mine and will try to film it tomorrow. The Reliance Tipple (about 7 miles away) is still standing and plan some footage of that as well. Exhausted. Plan to go to Laramie and the Univ. of Wyoming library on Friday. Seems like the Tanaka's are not home...
